Reservations
How do I change or cancel my reservation?
You can cancel or amend your reservation by contacting the reception team. If your reservation was made with a 3rd party travel agent, please contact them directly.
Can I add additional nights?
Gladly! Please contact us directly to add nights to your stay. If you have already added an extra night by using our online ‘BOOK NOW’ button, please contact us so we can try and arrange the room allocations.
What are the options for additional beds?
We do have baby cots and additional beds available at a small charge. Please let us know in advance should you require an additional bed or baby cot.
Can I give a stay at Boutique Hotel Zaan as a gift?
Certainly. We can offer personalised gifts for your friends and loved ones!
Is Boutique Hotel Zaan accessible for the disabled or people with walking difficulties?
Please contact our reception team directly to discuss the suitable options.
Payments
Which payment methods are accepted?
All major worldwide credit cards are accepted upon booking.
Do I have to provide my credit card information when making a reservation?
All reservations must be paid in advance. For non-refundable reservations, payment will be taken at the time of booking and for flexible reservations payments will be taken 2 days prior to arrival. No pre-authorisation is made.

What is City Tax and Tourist Tax and when will it be charged?
The city tax in 2023 is € 5,19 per person per night.

What time is check-in?
Check in is from 15.00 and the check-out time is at 11.00.
Boutique Hotel Zaan works with a functional (self)check-in procedure. Even though we do not have a front desk on site, we will always do our utmost to make your stay as smooth and comfortable as possible After booking a room with us you will receive an email with all the (self) check-in details.

How does the digital check-in work?
Since we have no on-site staff at the hotel, you can check in with us. Don’t worry: It’s easy & we tested it with our parents and grandparents. You can do it!
On the day of arrival, when your room is ready, you will receive an email with the entrance code for the entrance door and room door. Make sure your mobile phone is connected to wifi or has internet access. When you are at the hotel, choose the lock on the app and hold your smartphone close to the lock. Your room or entrance door will be opened.
Even if this description has gotten a bit longer: It is really very intuitive and simple and you will be able to check in easily. And if something really doesn’t work, we are always available for you.

Why isn't there any staff in the hotel?
Whenever you travel, it is quite common to you that you do the check-in and boarding at the airport with your smartphone, you navigate through cities with your smartphone, rent a car or bike with your smartphone and even when staying at an Airbnb, you do most of the stuff with your smartphone.
Not so when staying at a hotel, right? Well, think again. Of course, when you check-in, open your room and check-out with your smartphone, you do a lot of work for us and thus save us money. We re-invest this saved money in things, we care about and think that you might also appreciate them.

How do I get to Boutique Hotel Zaan?
Boutique Hotel Zaan is located in the heart of Zaandijk and is easily accessible by car and public transport. You can find full directions here!
Is there parking at Boutique Hotel Zaan?
Unfortunately, Boutique Hotel Zaan does not have its own private parking. However parking is allowed within the neighbourhood and is free.
If you are staying in a room in our annex, you can also park your car within the neighbourhood for free.

Does Boutique Hotel Zaan offer a shuttle service?
Unfortunately Boutique Hotel Zaan does not offer a shuttle service. Should you require assistance with arranging transport from the airport, please contact us and we will gladly asssit.
During your stay
Are you pet friendly?
Unfortunately, no. Pets are not allowed in our Hotel.
Is breakfast included?
The room rate includes a free continental breakfast or you can opt for a breakfast to go. Please let us know your preference at the reception desk.
Do you have a restaurant?

Can I smoke in the hotel?
No, all rooms and public places are 100% non-smoking. If we discover that you have smoked or used an illegal substance, you will get a fine of € 250 and will be asked to leave the hotel immediately.
Can I moor my boat by your hotel?
Unfortunately the water is too shallow to moor a boat by our hotel.

What time is check-out?
Check-out is until 11:00. After 11:00 the digital key will stop working. Do you have questions? Please contact recepion.

Can I leave my luggage in the hotel after I have checked out?
Unfortunately we do not have luggage storage available.
